CANADA ? NO…LAKES OF BIARRITZ
Did you know that Biarritz has two lakes? Just a stone’s throw from the town centre, Lake Marion, covering twenty hectares, five of which are lakes, is a bucolic stopover dedicated to leisure activities and family walks. As for Lake Mouriscot, a protected natural area partially classified as “Natura 2000”, with a surface area of 110 hectares, it is a popular place for walks of exceptional environmental quality. The little-known Chemin des Lacs links the two sites, an 8 km circuit which starts at the bends in the Plage de la Milady to join Lake Marion and then the Mouriscot lake as far as the Cité de l’Océan. Two 5 km variants within this circuit allow you to choose either the lakeside or the beach side.
